Intelligence Community to Host 2nd Multi-Agency Virtual Career Fair
Building on the very successful 2010 Virtual Career Fair, nine IC organizations will be participating in the second IC Virtual Career Fair on Tuesday, March 8 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. ET. This free, online event will allow registered job seekers to learn about career opportunities in the IC, interact with recruiters online, and learn how to apply to open positions all from the comfort of their own homes.
The fair will highlight hundreds of career opportunities available nationwide in a wide array of disciplines including cybersecurity/information assurance, information technology, intelligence analysis, contracting and acquisitions, language, science, and engineering. Special emphasis will also be placed on recruiting diverse candidates proficient in mission critical foreign languages with cultural expertise from our Nation's many heritage communities. Target languages include Arabic, Dari, Farsi, Hausa, Indonesian, Korean, Mandarin, Pashto, Punjabi, Russian, Somali, Swahili, Turkish, and Urdu. Other languages of sub-Saharan Africa are also of great interest.
Participating in the March 2011 Virtual Career Fair will be the:
- Central Intelligence Agency;
- Defense Intelligence Agency;
- Federal Bureau of Investigation Language Services;
- Marine Corps Intelligence Activity;
- Office of Naval Intelligence;
- National Reconnaissance Office;
- National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency;
- National Security Agency;
- National Virtual Translation Center; and
- Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
These agencies will be looking for serious and exceptionally well-qualified applicants at both the entry and mid-career levels. Please note that the minimum educational requirement for the majority of the positions is a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Mid-career opportunities may require an advanced degree and seven or more years of relevant experience.
In addition to participating in live chats with recruiters, attendees will be able to watch video presentations, participate in live question and answer sessions, and upload resource information in their virtual briefcases.
